We understand that flexibility is now a key factor when booking a vacation, and we believe our Covid Promise and our Covid Viable test provide that.

We believe these terms and conditions for making a reservation are among the most generous in the travel industry at the moment, and we hope they give you the confidence, when you feel ready, to go ahead and book your next adventure.

COVID PROMISE

Our Covid promise states that:

► You will have the right to transfer, free of charge, from any of our trips at ANY time if your trip is not Covid Viable (see below). *

► We will not ask you to pay your ending balance if your trip is not Covid Viable yet.

► If your trip is not Covid Viable, no later than 30 days prior to departure, we will cancel your vacation and you can transfer your funds to another departure or have it reimbursed. **

VIABLE COVID

We will only consider a viable Covid trip if prior to departure you meet all of the following criteria:

► There is no national blockade or prohibition on foreign travel during the departure period of your trip.

► Tourist destinations should not be on the UK Red List.

► No destination visited during the tour has significant COVID-19 restrictions for travelers.

► Tourist visas (if required) are available.

► There is reliable air access from / to the start / end of the trip.

► Following an evaluation by SUNRISE PERU TREK, we are confident that your trip will be safe and enjoyable. We will only consider a viable Covid trip if prior to departure you meet all of the following criteria:

TRAVEL WITH CONFIDENCE

After consulting with the Minister of Tourism (MINCETUR), local governments and our partners abroad, we are now pleased to introduce you to some of the measures we are putting in place for the safety and peace of mind of our guests. Clients and our local staff.

Please note that these measures are not exhaustive and will evolve over time as we monitor and adapt to local and national public health recommendations. If you have any questions or concerns regarding a particular tour or destination, feel free to contact one of our experts on SUNRISE PERU TREK.

  • All bedrooms will be thoroughly cleaned between guests, with particular attention to frequently touched areas such as handles, switches, and taps.
  • Whenever possible, we will implement a break of at least 48 hours in the use of the room between guests to reduce the risk of cross contamination.
  • All common use areas, including elevators, stairs, and public restrooms, will be cleaned and disinfected frequently throughout the day.
  • Hand sanitizer and social distancing will be installed in reception areas.
  • For solo travelers on our group tours who choose to share a room, we will ensure that roommates remain fixed for the entire trip. Also, on camping trips, each solo traveler will receive his own tent, whether he has paid a one-time extra or not, as social distancing is more difficult to bear while camping.
  • While we encourage everyone to bring their own hand sanitizer, we will also endeavor to provide it on board all of our vehicles so that you can use it every time you get on and off.
  • All vehicles will be cleaned once a day and / or between different passengers, whichever is greater.
  • If a larger vehicle is required to meet social distancing requirements, we will seek to upgrade it at no additional cost.
  • Also, and in situations where social distancing is not practical, you may also need to wear face masks.
  • All drivers and attendants will follow national policies, including wearing PPE if necessary.
  • For groups, seats will be allocated between daily cleanings to minimize the risk of cross contamination.
  • All local guides should have an up-to-date knowledge of the nearest local clinics, testing procedures, and health policies at each destination.
  • Our guides know the best time to visit the sites to avoid traffic jams and can suggest restaurants that practice the highest level of hygiene and social distancing.
  • All of our field staff are supported 24/7, by our highly experienced teams. With more with 20 years of experience between us, we are well equipped to deal with any situation.
  • All of our guides are trained in first aid and have the appropriate equipment to assist you quickly if necessary.
  • All of our clients (both group and personalized) will use smaller tables and be socially distant from other diners whenever possible.
  • Dishes to share, both a cultural necessity and a highlight in many destinations, will remain viable, but will include places of personal service for each guest.
  • All shared items, including sauces and condiments, will be cleaned up between each group’s use and individual servings, while less environmentally friendly, will be provided whenever possible.

Our group tours are reduced to smallest sizes, with a maximum of 8 and an average of 6 on most of our outings. Having a smaller group size helps us more easily achieve the social distancing that is now standard in most countries.

We cannot guarantee your safety alone and will need everyone traveling with us to take an equal share of responsibility for following instructions and taking all possible precautions to help protect you and all other travelers.

Anyone (including clients, companions, guides, and drivers) showing potential coronavirus symptoms should be tested, with our full assistance, of course, if necessary, as soon as possible and isolate themselves until results are received. In the unfortunate event of a positive result, we will provide all possible assistance and ensure that anyone who has contacted the affected party in the previous 14 days is notified as soon as possible within the framework of recognized monitoring and traceability to world level. subsistence allowance
