Day 1: Arrive to Cusco

Arrival to Cusco at any time; you’ll be transferred to your hotel.

Day 2: Tour to Sacred Valley of the Incas

The tour starts at 7:30 a.m. Today will be a full-day tour including the visiting if the Market in the town of Pisac. in the afternoon we’ll take the train to Aguas calientes town.

Days 3: Explore  Machu Picchu

Board the morning bus for 25 minutes up to Machu Picchu to see the sunrise and explore it.

Days 4: Visit Maras & Moray

Return to the train station of Ollantaytambo and continue the tour toward the salt mines of Maras; then we’ll continue to the Archaeological site of Moray.

Day 5: Leave Cusco

Transfer Out.

Day 1: Arrival to Cusco

Five-day Machu Picchu Express Tour begins once you arrive to Cusco at any time. Thereforer, we must know your flight details to transfer you to your designate hotel; so, today there is no planned activities so enjoy the city. Optionally you can do guided city tour and enjoy the enchanting sites of this inca and colonial city.

In Cusco, there are numerous colonial churches one of the city’s most common sights is the Cathedral located at the Main Square which was started in 1560 and took 94 years to build where we still can see over 400 canvases from the Cusco painting school of XVI and XVII century most of them belongs to the famous Cusquenian artist Diego Quispe Tito; the Cathedral is also one of the city’s greatest repositories of colonial art. The main ruin within is that of the Qorikancha, once the Inca Empire’s richest temple.

Day 2: Sacred Valley of the Incas

The tour begins at 7:30am. The Sacred valley is renowned for its excellent climate, fertile lands and the waters of the sacred river known as the “Willkamayu” (Sacred River). Sacred Valley is embraced between the towns of Pisac and Ollantaytambo; The valley offers wonderful landscapes, it is a place where its inhabitants, native of the Quechua ethnic group, conserve many customs, traditions and ancestral rites.

Sacred Valley, is an area where you can enjoy the high technological development that the Inca reached in terms of agriculture through the “Andenería” systems (platform terraces). These systems are still in use today, it shows sophisticated designs of hydraulic engineering for irrigation purposes.

During the tour we’ll visit the  local markets and the Inca ruins of Pisaq and Ollantaytambo; in the afternoon we’ll take the train to the town of Aguas Calientes.

Pisac Ruins Guided Tour /Pisac-1h

Tour the fascinating hilltop citadel of Pisac, an Incan ruin with plunging gorges, a ceremonial centre, and winding agriculture terracing that’s still in use today. Be captivated by this truly amazing site sitting amid sweeping green valleys and mountain peaks. Explore the back of the site to see a pocketed cliff across “Chitamayo” Gorge, which once contained hundreds of Inca tombs.

Ollantaytambo Ruins Guided Tour / Ollantaytambo -1h

Tour the town and fortress of Ollantaytambo with a local guide. Take a step back in time at this Inca archaeological site; it still shows signs of its former glory, including agricultural terraces, a Temple Hill, and storehouses. Learn how the area, overlooking the Urubamba River Valley, was an important stronghold during warfare between the Spanish and Incas.

Day 3: Visit Machu Picchu

After breakfast in the hotel, we will board early morning bus and drive to monumental Machu Picchu. Spend the day exploring the ancient ruins with a local guide. Marvel at the timeless structures, reminders of a once-powerful empire. The scale of the site is truly impressive and offers many iconic photo opportunities.  Spend the night at the picturesque town of “Aguas Calientes” in the evening you can go to relax in the natural hot spring and the next day, we will return to Ollantaytambo.

Machu Picchu Guided Tour / Machu Picchu -2h – 3h

Rise and shine – the best time to see the Lost City of the Incas is in the early morning light. Follow the local guide to Machu Picchu to learn about its history at a leisurely pace. Gain local insight into the Inti Mach’ay cave, Inti Watana, the Temple of the Sun, the Temple of the Water, the Temple of the Condor, and the Room of the Three Windows. Take time to sit and feel the energy of this 15th-century site, now both a UNESCO World Heritage site and voted one of the new Seven Wonders of the World (in a worldwide Internet poll).

Day 4:  Visit Maras & Moray and Return to Cusco

Get breakfast in the hotel. Carrying your personal belongings we walk to the train station. The train will get us Ollataytambo train station from where we’ll take a car and go to explore the salt mines of Maras.

The tour continues with visiting the impressive Inca archaeological site of Moray. Here also we can observe the circular Inca terraces which probably were used by the Incas as an agricultural laboratory.

After that, we’ll return to Cusco arriving there at 2.30pm

    Climb aboard, take your seat, and enjoy the ride.

Day 5: Leave Cusco

Finally, Farewell and travel from Cusco to Lima. After having a good breakfast, we’ll pick you up from the hotel and drive you to the airport in Cusco, which is 20 minutes from downtown of Cusco. We must be 2 hours before to make arrangements for confirmation of flight After check in at the airline to fly and pay the airport tax, we said goodbye and you’ll aboard the flight from Cusco to Lima.
