Stage 1: The Ascent and Ollantaytambo

The trip begins with a 1.5-hour drive to the picturesque town of Ollantaytambo (2,800m / 9,186 ft). Here, we’ll pause for 30 minutes for a quick break and last-minute shopping amidst charming original Inca streets.

Stage 2: Crossing the Andes

We continue our ascent for 45 minutes to reach the highest point of our route: the Abra Málaga Pass at an impressive 4,316m (14,160 ft) above sea level. You’ll have the opportunity to capture breathtaking photos of the majestic snowcapped mountain “La Verónica” (5,750m / 18,864 ft).
