Changing Dates After Permits Are Issued
Unfortunately, strict Peruvian regulations mean permits are non-changeable once purchased. If you need to adjust your travel date, there’s a $100 fee for a new permit. Remember, permits are non-transferable and non-refundable, and the deposit won’t be refunded if you cancel your trip.
Passport Requirements for the Tour
Yes, you’ll need to bring along your original passport, making sure it matches the one used for your permit. You’ll be asked to present it upon entering Machu Picchu and when boarding the train. If you’re in the process of renewing your passport, just send us a copy of your old one, and we’ll update the details when you receive the new one.

Train Ticket Schedules
Train schedules are subject to availability. We typically book the 12:55 PM train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes on the first day, with a return trip at 02:55 PM. This schedule allows for plenty of relaxation before heading back to Cusco by 06:30 PM, leaving you time to explore more like the Rainbow Mountain Tour!
