🏔️ Machu Picchu Classic Tour 4 Days – Day-by-Day Itinerary
✨ Day 1: Arrival in Cusco & Immersive City Tour
Your journey into the heart of the Andes begins the moment you arrive in Cusco, the historic capital of the Inca Empire. Upon landing, you’ll be warmly welcomed by our team and transferred in a private vehicle to your hotel—your first glimpse of the comfort and care that defines this experience.
In the afternoon (around 1:30 PM), your adventure truly begins with a guided Cusco city tour. Stand in awe at the grand Main Square, where the impressive Cusco Cathedral showcases colonial artistry blended with indigenous history. Continue to the sacred Qoricancha, once the most important temple of the Inca Empire, where gold once covered its walls, and sunlight itself was worshipped.
As the afternoon unfolds, journey to the surrounding hills to explore ancient Inca ruins. Feel the power of Sacsayhuamán, with its massive stone walls fitted together with astonishing precision. Visit the tranquil fountains of Tambomachay and the strategic outpost of Puka Pukara, all offering breathtaking views of the valley below.
As the evening settles, return to your hotel and enjoy free time to relax or explore Cusco’s vibrant streets at your own pace. This first day is all about gently immersing yourself in the culture while acclimatizing to the altitude—an essential step toward the adventure ahead.

🌄 Day 2: Sacred Valley of the Incas & Scenic Train Journey
After breakfast, prepare for one of the most visually stunning days of your journey as you travel into the heart of the Sacred Valley. Depart Cusco around 7:30 AM and enjoy a scenic drive through mountains, valleys, and traditional Andean villages.
Your first stop is the vibrant town of Pisac, where colorful markets invite you to discover handmade textiles, silver jewelry, and authentic Peruvian crafts. Above the town lies the remarkable Pisac ruins, where terraces climb dramatically along the mountainside, offering unforgettable panoramic views.
Continue to the lush valley of Urubamba for a well-deserved lunch break (not included), surrounded by peaceful landscapes and fresh mountain air. Then, head to the impressive fortress of Ollantaytambo—a living Inca town that still preserves its original layout. Walk among towering stone terraces and feel the ancient energy that still lingers in this sacred site.
In the late afternoon, board the train for a magical journey to Aguas Calientes, the gateway to Machu Picchu. Over approximately 2 hours, relax as you glide through lush valleys, following the winding river and soaking in the dramatic beauty of the Andes. This is one of the most scenic train rides in the world—calm, immersive, and unforgettable.
Arrive in Aguas Calientes and check into your hotel, resting in anticipation of the highlight of your journey.

Every step tells a story, every stone holds meaning.
For those seeking a deeper experience, optional hikes to Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain offer breathtaking panoramic views—perfect for unforgettable photos and a sense of achievement (booking required).
